Guilford, CT · Serving the Connecticut shoreline
Siding, windows and doors built for salt air.
Harborline Exteriors replaces and repairs home exteriors along the Connecticut shoreline: vinyl and cedar siding, energy-rated windows, entry doors, and gutters, installed by a crew that works these towns year-round.
What we do
Four trades. One standard.
Siding
Vinyl and cedar shake, installed over proper housewrap and flashing. The part you see is only half the job.
Windows
Insert and full-frame replacement with glass packages and air sealing specified for coastal wind.
Doors
Entry and exterior doors hung square, sealed tight, with hardware that stands up to salt air.
Gutters
Seamless aluminum systems sized for nor’easter rain, hung on hidden hangers that do not back out.
The shoreline is hard on houses. We plan for it.
Salt air corrodes ordinary fasteners. Wind off the Sound drives rain sideways into every seam. Sun off the water cooks south-facing walls. A spec that works fine in Hartford quietly fails out here, usually two or three years after the installer is gone.
So we build for the conditions we actually have. That shows up in small decisions most people never see, and it is why our work looks the same in year ten as it did in year one.
- Stainless or hot-dipped fasteners on every exterior job, no exceptions
- Flashing and housewrap detailed for wind-driven rain, not just gravity
- Materials rated for coastal exposure, chosen at the house with you
- One written scope — what we are doing, what we are not, and why
How a project runs
1. Walk the house
We measure in person and look at what is underneath: sheathing, flashing, sills. The estimate reflects the real condition of the house, so the price does not move later.
2. Spec it in writing
Materials, profiles, colors, fastener types, and the installation method for every opening. You know exactly what is going on your house before we order anything.
3. Install and walk through
Our own crew does the work. At the end we walk the job with you, course by course, and leave the site cleaner than we found it.
