Vinyl siding that holds its line
Cheap vinyl waves, fades, and rattles. Heavy-gauge panels hung correctly stay straight and quiet for decades. The difference is the spec and the nailing, and we are particular about both.

The spec we install
- Panel thickness of .044″ or heavier — thin builder-grade panels are where the waves and rattle come from
- Profiles: double 4″ and double 5″ clapboard, dutch lap, and vertical board-and-batten for gables and accents
- Insulated panel options where walls need stiffening or a bump in R-value
- Wind ratings appropriate for open coastal exposure, relevant on bluff and beach lots
- Matched trim systems: window surrounds, corner posts, soffit, and fascia in one color story
Hanging it right matters more than the brand
Vinyl expands and contracts with temperature: a twelve-foot panel moves close to half an inch between a January night and an August afternoon. Nail it tight and it buckles. Hang it loose on centered nails, and it floats quietly through every season.
Our installers leave the specified gap at every nail head, lock every course, and seal panel ends into J-channel with room to move. It is slower than production-crew speed. It is also why our vinyl walls stay flat.
Who vinyl makes sense for
Vinyl is the right call when you want the maintenance to end: no repainting, no restaining, a hose and soft brush once a year. On the shoreline it also sidesteps the salt-spray paint failures that plague painted wood on exposed lots. If your house sits in a historic district or you want the real cedar texture, read about our cedar shake siding instead — or start from the siding overview to compare.
